EMDR therapy and talk therapy both changed my life. This is my hope for you. I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT 119898) with an office in Westwood, CA. My clinical supervisor is Dr. Theo Burnes (PSY 25544).
As a queer non-binary therapist with ADHD, I value a gentle, affirming, and inclusive approach to your mental health. For people wanting to do deep trauma healing, I offer EMDR, which is different from talk therapy. Click to learn more about EMDR.
I love to learn, so I got 2 master's degrees. Since high school I have studied: acting, improv, languages, Jungian theory, creativity, LGBTQIA+ psychology, philosophy, math, science, mythology, history, music, literature, and fine art. I am also passionate about recovery. This includes 12-step groups for substances like the original Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and process addictions: overeating, gambling, debting, gaming, pornography, compulsive sex and/or love addiction. I am also familiar with the principles of the Health at Every Size (HAES) movement to combat fat-phobia in healthcare. Learn more about HAES.
Before the pandemic, I started my clinical training at a unique day care center for seniors with memory loss and their spouses. I provided individual counseling and co-facilitated groups using art, music, dance, yoga, mindfulness, cognitive stimulation, games, and support groups.
For my first master's thesis, I studied Native American Two Spirits (pre-colonial role models outside the gender binary) through a Jungian lens. I also developed and published a theory of Gay Male Goddess Archetypes and led a workshop on queer spirituality and active imagination. Learn more about my academic work here.
I provide telehealth and in-person sessions to CA residents. Contact me for a free consultation.
